Submit Abstracts - How to Get Started

You will need your user account to log on to MMM5 portal. First time users, please sign up for a user account at the MMM5 log-in page here

Pay Abstract Processing Fee/Upload Abstract

1. Amount payable is SGD35 per abstract and the maximum limit is 2 abstracts per submitting author
2. Accepts: Amex, China Union Pay (中国银联), Mastercard and Visa. The paid abstract fee is not refundable
   Payment processing via TT, Cheque or Cashier’s order is SGD80 per transaction.
3. Click “My Abstracts” on left menu and follow the on-screen instructions to submit your abstract
4. Read the important notes and select payment method of abstract processing fee
5. Pay for the abstract processing fee
6. Enter abstract title and author details
7. Pay for the abstract processing fee
8. Upload the abstract content
9. Each abstract will be assigned an Abstract ID. Please quote this when making enquiries
10. By submitting the abstract, you are granting MMM5 permission to disseminate it electronically

Abstract Submission - Required Information

Preparing an abstract
You will be required to provide the following information when submitting your abstract:

• Abstract Title
• Main/Lead Author information
  • Name
  • Affiliation/Organization
  • Job Title
  • Contact Email
• If your co-author(s) are first time-users, they need sign up for an account on MMM5 portal. This is the only way to ensure that co-author details are included in the conference program and publications.
• Abstract main text, should contain text only (no graphics or mathematical equations) and must not exceed 300 words
• Please click whether you wish to be considered for an oral presentation or poster

Edit/modify/replace abstract
You can modify, resubmit your abstract anytime but it must be before the submission deadline.

• Under "Author Options", click "My Abstracts" to view your abstract submission(s).
• Click Abstract ID to access full abstract details, including all editing functions.

Review and acceptance process

• The MMM5 International Scientific Committee will review abstracts for contents and scientific merit.
• Based on the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, the review decision will be either "accepted oral”, “accepted poster” or “rejected”.
• Acceptance is on condition that at least one author attends the meeting to present the accepted abstract.
• English shall be the official language of all presentations throughout the meeting.

Abstract status - What it means

Status	What it means
Pending	Abstract Processing Fee needs to be paid. This is a condition of your abstract submission
Accepted	The abstract has been accepted for presentation at the meeting
Rejected	In the reviewer’s opinion, your abstract is unsuitable for presentation at the meeting
Withdrawn	After the abstract has been successfully submitted, it is removed from the abstract list. The paid abstract processing fee cannot be refunded
Duplicate	There is multiple submission of the same abstract. The cost to process a refund is SGD80

Meeting registration

• Authors whose abstracts are accepted must register their meeting attendance by author registration deadline
• Each registration fee covers ONE abstract submission.
• At the time of registration, ID of the abstracts to be presented must be provided
• By default, the registrant is deemed to be the presenter. This can be the author or a co-author.
• Abstracts whose authors do not register to attend the meeting risk being withdrawn.

Abstract Processing Fee Payment Terms & Cancellations

1. Amount payable is SGD35 per abstract and the maximum limit is 2 abstracts per submitting author
2. Accepts: Amex, China Union Pay (中国银联), Mastercard and Visa
3. There will be no refund for abstract fees for withdrawal/cancellation by authors
